Only a year ago, Michael A. Adler was on a seeming fast track to major career success.

For one thing, he had been named a “Lawyer on the Fast Track” by a legal publication in 2006, and had been elected as a Republican committeeman in Lower Merion Township in suburban Philadelphia. That was also the same year he moved from Philadelphia’s Blank Rome, where he had been an associate, to a new job as general counsel for Hotwire Communications, in Wynnewood, Pa., reports New York Lawyer, in a reprint of a Legal Intelligencer article.

But now the 1988 graduate of Temple University School of Law apparently is out of work and looking for a new job, the article continues. Adler says his parting with Hotwire was amicable, and that he has recently been working with University City Housing in Philadelphia. And, like many lawyers in the current musical chairs legal marketplace, he may well wind up in the foreseeable future in another enviable position on the career fast-track.
