Robbed of approximately $150,000 in custom jewelry by burglars who seemingly may have known what they were looking for, two well-to-do attorneys are wondering whether their home was targeted based on their law firm website profiles.

Managing partner Elaine Hurn and senior partner Tony Caterall of the British firm Taylors of Blackburn spoke in their profiles about enjoying luxuries in life. They mentioned fast cars, fine dining and Caterall’s desire to live in the Elysée Palace in France, if only it was realistic for him to get a dream job as the president of that country, the Telegraph reports.

”We have to be high-profile as lawyers, and I must admit on the profile I have a pendant necklace on, and it is possible the thieves saw that,” Hurn told the newspaper. “The fact is it does seem as if someone had some inside [information] to go straight to the bedroom.” Closed-circuit television footage shows the thieves dragging a bedroom safe 200 yards across a field to a getaway car.

”Part of the job and having a law firm is the high-profile that goes with it—and it’s possible our profiles may have been viewed,” she continued. “It may mention Michelin-star dining but it does also say my first car was a clapped out Mini Clubman estate with a dodgy handbrake.”

It appears the burglars may have known she and Caterall routinely work long hours, Hurn said.

An investigation is continuing, and Hurn hopes that her unique jewelry may turn up and help identify suspects in the case.
