GOAL III MEMBERS-AT-LARGE ON THE NOMINATING COMMITTEE FOR THE 2025-2028 TERM
The ABA president will appoint one Goal III Minority Member-at-Large and one Goal III Woman Member-at-Large to the Nominating Committee for the 2025-2028 term. These appointments will be made from broadly solicited nominations from the diversity commissions, sections, divisions and forums; state and local bar associations; and the membership at large. Members who are interested must submit a letter of interest and a resumé to [email protected]. The deadline for submission of credentials for consideration for these presidential appointments is Friday, May 9.
ACTION OF THE NOMINATING COMMITTEE AT THE 2025 MIDYEAR MEETING
In accordance with Section 9.1 of the ABA Constitution, the House of Delegates Nominating Committee, at its meeting Sunday, Feb. 2, nominated Barbara J. Howard of Ohio for president-elect (2025-2026), Andrew M. Schpak of Oregon for treasurer (2026-2029, treasurer-elect for 2025-2026), and members of the Board of Governors (2025-2028). 2025 DELEGATE-AT-LARGE ELECTION
Pursuant to Section 6.5 of the ABA Constitution, six Delegates-at-Large to the House of Delegates will be elected at the 2025 ABA Annual Meeting for three-year terms beginning with the adjournment of that meeting and ending with the adjournment of the 2028 Annual Meeting. Candidates for election as Delegate-at-Large are to be nominated by written petition. The deadline for filing nominating petitions is Friday, May 16. 2025 STATE DELEGATE ELECTION RESULTS

SPECIAL NOTICE TO ABA MEMBERS
By council vote on Oct. 24, the Section of State and Local Government Law Council approved renaming the section to the “Section of State, Local and Tribal Government Law.” The date of our section annual business meeting is Saturday, Aug. 9, 2025.
