Martindale-Hubbell and Chambers & Partners have agreed to make Chambers’ rankings of attorneys and commentary available on Martindale-Hubbell’s website.

London-based Chambers is a research and publishing company that provides rankings of business lawyers and law firms in the U.S., the U.K. and around the world. Martindale-Hubbell, a subsidiary of LexisNexis, operates an online information and networking resource for attorneys and those seeking legal services.

“The complementary services of Chambers and Martindale-Hubbell will provide a first-of-its-kind, 360-degree view on lawyers,” says Laxmi Wordham, vice president for Martindale-Hubbell Large Law.

Wordham says Chambers’ service is typically focused on commentary about firms, whereas Martindale-Hubbell has rated individual lawyers without much in the way of commentary. Martindale is in the process of developing a client review component to its service, says Wordham, which will focus on how clients rate a firm’s responsiveness, value and service. The expanded ratings and collaboration with Chambers will be especially valuable to corporate counsel looking to hire outside counsel, Wordham adds.
