When Brian Dotort celebrated a friend’s birthday at a South Florida gay bar last year, he took his pal, Hudson Hayward Hemingway along with him.

Hudson happens to be a dog, a small Chihuahua to be specific, and as the pup with the pink earrings was passed from one guest to another at the party, he was eventually stolen, according to NBC Philadelphia and the South Florida Gay News.

The suspect, who has a distinctive tattoo, was arrested in Pennsylvania earlier this year on a driving while intoxicated charge and is now being extradited to Florida by Broward County authorities to face a grand theft charge.

Dotort’s dog, however, is still missing.

The article doesn’t include any comment from the suspect, Channing Reynolds, 34, and the Associated Press says that jail records in Pennsylvania don’t show whether he is represented by an attorney.
