Bomb goes off at door of law firm

Police in Idaho Falls, Idaho, are investigating a bomb blast at a local law firm that occurred not long after midnight on Friday.

“A wall shaker, I knew it was more than a gun going off,” neighbor Payl Ahlstrom told KBOI. “It was pretty impressive to say the least.”

The explosion at Swafford & Ward occurred about 12:45 a.m. Police say a homemade bomb went off there and that the blast at the front door of the law office was intentional, reports No one was injured but the explosion blew debris through a fence into a nearby house.

Alicia Cuellar lives across the street from the law office and says there is often someone working there at night. “We heard a car stop and we heard a door open,” she said. Then, after the car left, “the whole house shook” as the bomb went off.

Both the law firm and an adjacent home were damaged by a fire that followed the bomb blast, reports KTVB.

No one has been arrested.
