Law firm mergers rose in the first quarter of 2012, up by 43 percent from 2011, a survey found.

The Hildebrandt International survey tallied 20 completed law firm mergers, Reuters reports.

Altman Weil reached a similar conclusion in survey results that were reported Monday, as an Am Law Daily article details.
