Legal industry added jobs in March
New figures from the Bureau of Labor Statistics show the legal-services industry added workers in February and March, though the gain in February was small.
The preliminary, seasonally adjusted figures released on Friday show the sector gained 1,200 jobs in March, the Am Law Daily (sub. req.) reports. The sector gained 100 jobs in February, according to revised, seasonally adjusted numbers. The Bureau originally reported a jobs loss that month.
Overall, the legal industry had 1,124,800 jobs in March, a gain of 8,200 jobs since March of 2015, according to the preliminary numbers.
