After bumping up associate salaries, Milbank announced Monday that the law firm is also giving associates special bonuses ranging from $6,000 for the class of 2026 to $25,000 for the class of 2021 and beyond.

This is the third year in a row that the firm has given special bonuses to associates. In June, Milbank announced that salaries would be increased by $10,000 to $20,000.

In a memo to the firm delivered Monday, firm chair Scott Edelman said the bonuses were in recognition of associates’ “exceptional efforts.” The firm will be paying special bonuses to all associates and special counsel globally on or before Aug. 31, according to a story by Law.com.

Milbank is often regarded as the leader when it comes to associate salary raises and bonuses, pushing the top of the legal industry to follow along.
