A British court has banned the publication in Britain of photos or videos showing professional golfer Tiger Woods in the nude or having sex.

But, in a letter accompanying a copy of the injunction granted yesterday by the High Court in London, the Schillings law firm representing Woods says that the court order “is not to be taken as an admission that any such photographs exist,” Reuters reports.

The injunction is the latest development in a flurry of publicity in recent weeks over the 33-year-old Woods’ alleged extramarital affairs after a minor predawn auto accident at his Florida home late last month that raised eyebrows. Woods suffered facial cuts and bruises in the one-car crash, and his wife told authorities that she pulled him out of the vehicle after smashing its window with a golf club. He has paid a $164 ticket for careless driving. At last count, nearly a dozen women, including cocktail waitresses and porn actresses, reportedly have claimed relationships with the world’s No. 1 golfer.

Partner Simon Smith has confirmed the court order, Reuters reports.
