Creative appearance was a plus for two winning entries in Nixon Peabody’s annual cook-off.
The law firm holds the contest as a team-building exercise. This year, a Washington Post reporter served as one of the judges and wrote about the results.
Nine winners of food categories were named, while a “best in show” category honored presentation. The two best in show winners were a cake topped with a Ferris wheel and a carousel made out of Rice Krispies treats.
The Post published three of the winning recipes. Washington, D.C., managing partner Jeff Lesk, who won for a kale and mango salad, said staffers and lawyers alike participate in the contest. “It’s one of these great equalizers,” he told the Post.
