A lawyer who at one time represented convicted D.C. Madam Deborah Jeane Palfrey has been suspended from practice for three years under a Florida Supreme Court order (PDF).

The Financial News & Daily Record reports that Montgomery Blair Sibley was suspended after he filed “myriad” court proceedings that lacked merit and was found in contempt of court for failing to pay $100,000 in child support.

Palfrey fired Sibley as her criminal defense lawyer in January before her trial began. He was one of four lawyers who represented Palfrey, Legal Times reported earlier this month. The story said Sibley also represented Palfrey in civil forfeiture proceedings and in a breach of contract suit against a former employee who cooperated with the government.

The order is not final if Sibley files a motion for rehearing.

He has been a frequent litigant since his divorce, suing the Florida Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court. Sibley has maintained his divorce case exposed court system abuses.

In one of the latest cases, Sibley failed in his attempt to sue seven justices on the U.S. Supreme Court for refusing to hear an earlier appeal in his divorce case.
