For the third time this year, Dinsmore & Shohl has announced a merger.

This time, the firm has acquired Leventhal Law, a San Diego business litigation boutique founded in 2012 by former White House attorney Joe Leventhal, reports the Cincinnati Business Courier. The Nov. 1 merger provides Dinsmore with its first West Coast office.

The firm, which is the largest in Cincinnati, now has 625 lawyers in 21 offices in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C. and West Virginia.

“Establishing a West Coast presence is essential to support our clients’ current business needs,” said Dinsmore chairman and managing partner George Vincent in a law firm news release. “We focused on California given the wealth of innovation in the state and discovered we have a lot of synergies with Leventhal Law.”
