A Georgia man has been charged with child cruelty for allegedly tattooing his 3-year-old son during a cookout.

Eugene Ashley of Floyd County is accused of tattooing “DB” on his son’s shoulder, initials that stand for “Daddy’s Boy,” according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and 11alive.com. Ashley said he was intoxicated at the time, Floyd County Police Sgt. Teri Davis told the Journal-Constitution.

The boy told investigators he cried and begged his father to stop, but the man held him down until the tattoo was complete, according to the 11alive.com report. Ashley tattooed the boy after friends at the cookout left for the grocery store, police said.

“You keep thinking you’ve seen it all, and then voila,” Davis told the Journal-Constitution.
