Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg hinted at an upcoming Supreme Court vacancy in a speech to law students on Friday, but she didn’t indicate who it might be.

Speaking with students at New England law school, Ginsburg noted that the only time the nine justices are photographed together is when a new member is appointed, the Boston Herald reports. “We haven’t had any of those for some time,” she said, “but surely we will soon.”

Ginsburg, who turned 76 on Sunday, is being treated for pancreatic cancer. She returned to work only 17 days after surgery and told USA Today that she expects to serve for at least several more years.

Some have speculated that Justice David H. Souter will be the next to retire. He is the only justice who has not yet hired law clerks for the next term, but it’s not unusual for him to make a late decision, the Associated Press reports.

Ginsburg said Souter has been supportive of her cancer battle and accompanied her to the opera when her ailing husband could not attend, the Boston Globe reports. “He never goes out, so people were amazed to see him,” she said.

She also confessed to her own musical ambitions, according to the Globe. “If I could have asked God to give me any talent in the world, I would never have been a lawyer,” she said. “I’d be a great diva.”
