Immigration arrests have jumped nearly 38 percent during President Donald Trump’s first 100 days in office, compared to the same time period last year.

The largest jump in arrests is among immigrants with no criminal record, report USA Today and the Washington Post. Between Jan. 22 and April 29, federal immigration agents arrested nearly 11,000 immigrants with no criminal convictions, a 156 percent increase in arrests for that group over the same period last year.

Overall, Immigration and Customs Enforcement has arrested 41,318 immigrants, and nearly 75 percent of those arrestees had a criminal record.

Deportations dropped about 12 percent due to a backlog in the immigration courts, according to Acting ICE Director Thomas Homan.
