Lawyer Scott Rothstein is expected to plead guilty today in an alleged $1.2 billion Ponzi scheme, and his wife, Kim, says she will be there for him.

The plea hearing in Fort Lauderdale federal court “is expected to be a brief, no-frills affair,” the Sun-Sentinel reports. U.S. District Judge James Cohn will question Rothstein, and his answers are expected to be short.

Rothstein faces up to 100 years in prison, but he could get a lesser sentence because of his cooperation, the Miami Herald reports.

Rothstein’s wife, Kim, plans to attend the hearing. “I’m here to support him however I can,” she told WSVN-TV. “As long as he needs me, I’m here for him.”

Since her husband’s arrest in early December, many people have distanced themselves from him, Kim Rothstein noted in the interview. “Although it’s understandable, I think it’s shameless because he’s helped so many people,” she told WSVN. “I can’t even communicate to you how giving he really was. I mean, he would help someone that was homeless in the street that was walking by.”
