A Chicago-based firm known for its insurance work will soon establish new offices in Dallas and Phoenix.

The new Dallas office, which opens Sept. 1, will be staffed by six attorneys, including two partners, that Meckler Bulger & Tilson (which has 90 lawyers counting the new additions) is stealing from 3,600-lawyer Baker & McKenzie’s office there, according to Crain’s Chicago Business and the Dallas Morning News.

The Phoenix office, which opens Oct. 1, will be headed by Paul Garry, a Chicago partner who owns a vacation home there.

“This is a rare opportunity to further develop our practice in concert with some of the country’s top insurance attorneys,” Robert Allen, one of the departing Baker partners, told the Dallas paper.
