A newly formed St. Louis-based law firm is on an expansion tear. As the dust is still settling from the merger that created Husch Blackwell Sanders, the firm has announced plans to open two new offices, in Chicago and Denver, before the end of the month.

“David Fenley, who is a co-chairman of the combined firm along with Joseph Conran, said the Denver office will have from eight to 10 attorneys within two to three months,” reports the Denver Business Journal. The firm plans to service existing clients there, but did not specify the practice areas on which it expects the Denver office to focus. The exact location of the office isn’t stated.

As discussed in an earlier ABAJournal.com post, the firm also is opening a new office in Chicago.

John Mandelbaum, who will be managing partner in Chicago, says the plan is for the office at 77 W. Wacker Drive to have 10 lawyers by end of 2008, and 30 within two years after that, reports Crain’s Chicago Business. “We will try to focus on business transactions,” he says. “Not litigation, but contracts, mergers and acquisitions, and banking.”
