The global patent director of Pfizer Inc., Alan Hesketh, has been arrested and charged with child pornography, the Associated Press reports.

Hesketh is a British citizen who is a permanent U.S. resident working in Pfizer’s legal division in Connecticut. He is on a leave of absence, a Pzifer spokeswoman says. He is accused of posing as a 28-year-old woman online and trading hundreds of images of children engaged in sex acts, the AP story says.

Federal agents believe Hesketh used the screen name “Suzybibaby” during online sessions at home and at other locations, including one at the Tudor Hotel at the United Nations in December 2007, according to a report at

Hesketh was arrested on Wednesday at Kennedy airport and faces a bond hearing on Monday. A press release says he was charged as part of the Justice Department’s Project Safe Childhood Initiative.
