This week, we noted that the husband of Judith Sheindlin, better known as TV’s Judge Judy, has landed a role on a pilot for a scripted series. Gerald Sheindlin is a retired Bronx judge who also appeared on television as a judge on The People’s Court from 1999 to 2001.

While some readers may remember Sheindlin’s turn on The People’s Court and be happy to see his return to TV, we realize that in this world or a fantasy world, there are probably other judges you’d also like to or prefer to watch on TV every week. So this week, we’d like to ask: What judge would you like to watch on TV, and why? Feel free to choose a U.S. Supreme Court justice, a local judge, or a judge who is no longer with us. And let us know if you’d like to see this judge in a Judge Judy-type format, in a scripted drama, or simply hearing real-life arguments in the courtroom.
