Willkie Farr Housekeeper Is Known for Her Lumpia

Willkie Farr & Gallagher has within its midst a talented cook who makes homemade lumpia—Philippine spring rolls—that manage to stay crisp.

Feli Orinion’s talent—and her recipe—are featured in the Washington Post.

“Feli Orinion is an executive housekeeper for Willkie Farr & Gallagher in downtown Washington,” the Washington Post writes. “She has the first pot of coffee on before anyone else gets in, no matter how early. In her 13 years there, the law firm has come to appreciate her attention to detail, her unsinkable attitude and, at party time, her platters of homemade lumpia.”

Lucy Carlson, a former Willkie Farr lawyer who now works at the Justice Department, had nothing but praise for Orinion’s spring rolls. “I’ve never had anything exactly like the ones Feli makes,” Carlson told the Post. “The filling is different, and hers don’t go soggy after an hour.”

The Post goes so far as to calculate the calories: 63 per lumpia.
