Following an announcement that 15 attorneys are leaving to form a new Las Vegas law firm, Gordon Silver is pondering its future.

The nearly 50-year-old firm, which is one of the oldest and biggest in Nevada, opened a new office in Los Angeles last month with three bankruptcy attorneys from Stutman Treister & Glatt, as Law 360 (sub. req.) reported at the time.

However, it has also seen a number of lawyers leave in recent months and is now “assessing the prospects of what to do,” managing shareholder Mark Dzarnoski told Vegas Inc on Monday.

Dzarnoski was elected to the post on Friday, following an announcement that his predecessor, Greg Garman, would be among the 15-lawyer group forming a new firm, Garman Turner Gordon. It also includes Gerald “Jerry” Gordon, who founded Gordon Silver’s bankruptcy practice.

Other than to say that his reasons for leaving are “complex,” Gordon declined to explain why he is joining the new firm, Vegas Inc reports.
