George Zimmerman is out of trouble once again.

Acquitted earlier this year in a controversial second-degree murder case concerning the slaying of an unarmed teenager, Trayvon Martin, Zimmerman had faced a felony case after his girlfriend, Samantha Scheibe, complained to Seminole County authorities last month that he had pointed a shotgun in her face, smashed a coffee table and locked her out of the home they shared. Now she has recanted much of that story in an affidavit and says she wants Zimmerman back, the Associated Press reports.

Without her cooperation, “There is no reasonable likelihood of a successful prosecution,” said State Attorney Phil Archer in a written statement provided to the news agency.

Attorney Jayne Weintraub represents Zimmerman. She filed a motion earlier this week attaching the affidavit by Scheibe and asking that a no-contact order be lifted.
