The dry cleaners sued for $54 million for losing an administrative judge’s pants is dropping its claim for $83,000 in attorney fees.

A motion filed yesterday by Custom Cleaners says it has raised enough money from supporters to cover expenses, the Washington Post reports. However, the cleaners reserved its right to seek additional fees if Judge Roy Pearson appeals.

“With their losses and expenses now almost completely recouped, all defendants want to do is make this case go away,” the dry cleaners’ lawyer, Christopher Manning, wrote in the motion.

Pearson has until tomorrow to file notice of appeal.
