A Nevada judge was struck by a wrong-way driver outside the downtown Las Vegas courthouse as she was apparently on her way to work Friday morning.

Judge Linda Bell was sitting on the curb and alert when responders arrived to take her to the hospital. Although her condition is not known, her injuries were non-life-threatening, according to KTNV and the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

A court spokeswoman said the vehicle that struck Bell had out-of-state plates and was driving the wrong way on Clark Avenue, which allows only westbound traffic.

Police said the accident occurred around 7 a.m. or 7:30 a.m. outside the Clark County Regional Justice Center. A parking lot used by judges is nearby.
