Judicial Conference to Vote on Pilot Cameras Project
The U.S. Judicial Conference is scheduled to vote today on whether to allow cameras in some federal trial-level cases in a pilot project.
The proposal would allow cameras in some federal civil cases if all of the participants agree, USA Today reports. The ban on cameras in the U.S. Supreme Court would remain in place.
Some federal appeals courts allow cameras, and all 50 state courts allow at least some broadcast of their proceedings, the story says.
