West Virginia University 2L Andy Loud is giving his mom some of the credit for the success of his music video about the drudgery of law school life.

The parody of Maroon 5’s “Payphone” got more than 100,000 views just two weeks after it was posted on YouTube, the Charleston Daily Mail reports. “Now, 10,000 of those hits are probably just my mom clicking ‘refresh,’ ” Loud told the newspaper.

Loud wrote the lyrics and rapped for the video featuring the vocals of his friend, Tyler Murray, a West Virginia grad who works in retail, according to the Daily Mail and WBOY.com. Their band is Chocolate Ghost House, named after a level in a video game. Here are some of the lyrics:

I’m at a law school / Trying to keep cool / All of my prospects looking blue / Just doing my readings / Motions and pleadings / And case briefing International Shoe

If the Eighth Amendment does exist / How are they allowing all of this?

“If you would like a crash course in what it is like to be in law school, just listen to the song,” Loud told WBOY.com. “And if you still want to go to law school, good for you.”
