In vitro clinics are seeing an upsurge in business because of women who want to have babies in the Chinese year of the dragon.

Among those undergoing the treatment is Los Angeles lawyer Evie Jeang, the Wall Street Journal reports. She will try for a pregnancy through March or April in hopes of having a baby before Feb. 9, 2013, when the lucky year ends. According to Chinese lore, dragon babies are supposed to be the strongest, smartest and luckiest children.

Jeang believes it will be good for the child to be a dragon baby, and that her dragon child will get along well with her husband, who is a pig. Her husband, on the other hand, “thinks I’m crazy, but he just wants to have kids,” she told the Wall Street Journal.
