McDermott launches 'one-stop shop' health-consulting subsidiary

Already known as a 100-lawyer group that represents represents hospitals, health systems and medical manufacturers, McDermott Will & Emery has launched a Washington, D.C.-based health consulting subsidiary.

To be known as McDermott + Consulting, the new subsidiary will offer integrated services including lobbying, policy and political advice, data analytics and financing and pricing advice. Lead partner Eric Zimmerman calls it “a one-stop shop for services that clients have typically had to go to multiple service providers for,” Bloomberg reports.

A law firm press release provides additional details.

“The health industry is undergoing rapid growth and change driven by the regulatory environment, mounting fiscal challenges and the fast pace of technological innovation,” said Peter J. Sacripanti, the law firm’s co-chair, in the release. “Recognizing these challenges, McDermottPlus offers clients the ability to purchase a comprehensive solution through an integrated team that can provide end-to-end solutions.”
