Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid isn’t happy with the U.S. Supreme Court’s newest justices: Samuel A. Alito Jr. and Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr.

“We’re stuck with those two young men,” Reid said during a discussion hosted by the Christian Science Monitor, according to an account published by Politico.com.

At least Alito was up-front during confirmation hearings, Reid said. The senator accused Roberts of trying to pass himself off as a moderate during his hearings in 2005. “Roberts didn’t tell us the truth. At least Alito told us who he was,” he said.

Reid said Democrats will try to place more moderates on the bench, but he won’t stop Republicans from filibustering nominees. FOX News also had a report on the Politico story.
