Seyfarth Steps Out, Littler Steps In as Only US Member of Int'l Labor Group
Littler Mendelson has stepped in to take the place of Seyfarth Shaw as the only U.S. member of an international group of labor and employment law firms.
The 50-law firm group, Ius Laboris, serves as a referral network among members, who tend to turn to one another when legal help is needed in another country, reports the Am Law Daily.
When the group was formed in 2001, Littler was more focused on its United States practice. But now, having broadened its national scope, the 750-attorney labor and employment boutique, which bills itself as the largest labor and employment law firm in the U.S., is ready to look abroad.
Meanwhile, Seyfarth said in a written statement that it decided not to continue participating in Ius Laboris because its own 750-attorney firm is focusing its efforts on a broader general business and litigation practice, according to the legal publication.
