Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom is adding another litigator to its white-collar criminal defense practice with the acquisition of Michele Roberts.

Recently the law firm has “pulled in a rash of high-profile criminal-defense lawyers,” according to the Wall Street Journal Law Blog. They include solo litigator Allen Ruby, former Manhattan federal judge Stephen Robinson, former acting U.S. attorney Michael Loucks of Massachusetts, and former White House counsel Greg Craig.

Roberts is jumping to Skadden from Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, the National Law Journal reports. The story recalls a high-profile partner defection at Skadden; Robert Bennett left for the firm now known as Hogan Lovells in 2009.
