Squire Sanders has announced that it will open an office in Sydney on Nov. 1.

The news of the firm’s latest growth in the Asia-Pacific region follows announcements earlier this month that it had opened another office in Seoul, Korea, and had expanded in Saudi Arabia.

Campbell Davidson, a mergers and acquisitions partner at Allens, will head the newest Squire Sanders office, reports Legal Week. The firm is bringing in three other lawyers from three other firms to form the initial team there.

“Squire Sanders sees Sydney as a strategic financial and corporate hub in the Asia Pacific region, from which it will build upon its existing expertise in corporate and corporate finance, projects, infrastructure and taxation, as well as provide full service support for Australian and global clients in sectors such as media and entertainment, energy and resources, telecommunications, and chemicals,” says a firm press release today.

Squire Sanders also has an office in Perth, Australia, as well as nearly 40 other offices in the U.S., Europe, Asia, Rio de Janeiro and the Dominican Republic.
