Just in time for what would have been his 202nd birthday, our 16th president is getting a dedicated Twitter feed.

The tweets from @1865Lincoln, which started appearing today, will contain quotes from Abraham Lincoln as well as “an intriguing selection of little-known facts about the conspiracy that led to his assassination,” according to a press release (PDF) from the producers of the upcoming film The Conspirator. The film focuses on the life and trial of Mary Suratt, the only woman tried as a conspirator in the Lincoln assassination plot. It goes into wide release in April.

Attendees at the ABA Midyear Meeting, which continues through Monday in Atlanta, were invited to special screenings of The Conspirator in conjunction with a program Saturday addressing issues raised by the film.
