A Monday email to faculty, staff and students from Barbara Rodriguez, the provost and executive vice president of academic affairs for the University of New Mexico, announced the decision to reappoint law dean Camille Carey to a second five-year term, effective July 1, 2027.
Some alums and community leaders have objected to renewing Carey’s contract, with allegations that include a decrease in diverse students and faculty.
