A 9-month-old baby was among those charged with planning murder for throwing stones at police and gas-company employees in Pakistan.

Muhammad Mosa Khan was charged in February, report the Independent, the Nation, the Daily Mail and the Mirror. The infant and his family were among 30 people charged in Lahore for allegedly throwing rocks during police raids on homes of people accused of not paying for electricity.

The baby was charged with planning murder, threatening police, and interfering with state affairs, the stories say. The judge said he did not have the authority to dismiss the charges against the boy and granted bail.

The inspector who charged the boy has been suspended. The Mirror says the case has been dismissed, but other reports say the case was continued until April 12.

“He does not even know how to pick up his milk bottle properly,” the boy’s grandfather said. “How can he stone the police?”
