Casey Anthony is scheduled to be sentenced today following her conviction on Tuesday of four misdemeanor counts of lying to investigators.

The maximum sentence is four years in prison, and it’s possible Anthony will be sentenced to time served, the Associated Press reports. She has already spent nearly three years locked up as she awaited trial in the death of her daughter, Caylee.

Anthony’s lawyer, Jose Baez, says he fears for his client’s safety after her murder acquittal, the Associated Press reports in a separate story. Former Anthony lawyer Andrea Lyon made similar comments in an interview with WBEZ on Wednesday. Lyon said she was attacked—twice—while working on the case.

The Orange County, Fla., Corrections Department has vowed to take “appropriate measures” to release Anthony in a way that will preserve her safety. She may not be joining her family because of unproven allegations of sexual abuse made at trial against Anthony’s father and brother, AP says.

Anthony’s last job was as a vendor at a Universal Studios theme park. She is a high school dropout with little work experience. There is speculation, however, that she will be offered a six-figure advance for her memoir.
