Former professional football quarterback Eli Manning has accomplished a lot in his storied career.
He owns almost every passing record in New York Giants history, and his number has been retired by the club. He’s won two Super Bowls, beating fellow former professional football quarterback Tom Brady twice in the big game. He’s carved out a post-playing career as a multimedia personality who inspired Chad Powers, a Hulu series about a former college quarterback who disguises himself, so that he can make a comeback under a new identity.
And now, he can add keynote speaker to his extensive resumé.
Law.com announced Tuesday that the retired quarterback will deliver the opening keynote address at the annual Legalweek legal tech conference, which kicks off March 9 in New York City. Titled: “A Conversation With Eli Manning: Leadership, Tenacity & the Power of Teamwork,” Manning will talk about his football career and how the lessons that he learned can be applied to the legal and professional services fields, according to the article.
“The Legalweek audience is navigating constant change, complex organizations and heightened expectations. Eli Manning’s story offers practical and relatable lessons on how to lead with confidence, adapt and bring teams together,” said Nick Brailey, the CEO of Legalweek’s parent company, ALM/LBR, in the article.
Manning is the latest in a recent trend of big-name celebrities appearing at legal tech conferences.
For instance, Legalweek had The West Wing star Rob Lowe in 2025 and Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston in 2024. Legal Geek brought out Spice Girl Mel B for its 2024 conference, and FileVine booked actor Jake Gyllenhaal and rapper Nelly for its LEX Summit 2024.
