Longtime Colleagues Split PI Firm Known for Robert Vaughn Ads
Two longtime colleagues in a well-known North Carolina personal injury firm are parting ways, splitting up their Lewis & Daggett partnership. The firm is known for television advertising that features actor Robert Vaughn.
Michael Lewis, a 40-year practitioner, is forming Lewis & Associates with 36 of the Winston-Salem firm’s attorneys and staff. David Daggett, who joined his now-former firm in 1985, is leading a group of eight attorneys and staff to form Daggett, Shuler, Nauman, Koontz & Bell, the Winston-Salem Journal reports
“Our new firm is taking the high road, and we are moving forward optimistically for a bright future,” Daggett tells the newspaper.
Lewis said the split is amicable and has been under discussion for several weeks.
“We’re excited about taking this firm in another direction,” he tells the Business Journal of the Greater Triad Area. “It’s fundamentally about having a core value that’s shared by the management and a team of people that work together, making sure you all have the same goals in mind.”
A shared website gives Lewis & Daggett clients and Internet visitors the option of selecting either of the two firms.
