Former football hero O.J. Simpson is reportedly being held on a bail violation, after allegedly calling one of his co-defendants in a Las Vegas armed robbery case and expressing unhappiness over his testimony at a preliminary hearing.

Simpson reportedly identified himself as “Miguel” when calling co-defendant Clarence “C.J.” Stewart in November, concerning a case in which the two men face felony charges for allegedly taking sports memorabilia in a casino hotel room armed robbery. Simpson is now in the custody of his bail bondsman and being brought to Las Vegas, where the Clark County district attorney plans to file a motion today to revoke his bail, according to the Associated Press.

As discussed in earlier ABAJournal.com posts, Simpson has pleaded not guilty in the case and has contended from the outset that he was simply retrieving his own property.
