A Seattle environmental lawyer described as an accomplished climber didn’t return Sunday from a hiking trip in the Cascade Mountains.

Park rangers and volunteers are searching for the lawyer, 49-year-old John Arum of Ziontz, Chestnut, Varnell, Berley & Slonim, the Sky Valley Chronicle and the Associated Press report. His father is boxing promoter Bob Arum.

John Arum was hiking Storm King Peak as part of a quest to hike the 100 highest summits in Washington. The Sky Valley Chronicle describes him as “one of the major voices for protection of land, air, and water in Washington State.”
