Although ex-attorney Scott Rothstein reportedly made some $36 million in 2008 while both serving as managing partner of Rothstein Rosenfeldt Adler and operating a Ponzi scheme, he apparently may not have paid all of his income tax.

The Internal Revenue Service has slapped him and his wife with a $10 million tax lien. However, a lawyer representing Kim Rothstein says he does not expect her to be on the hook for her husband ‘s tax bill once the dust settles, the Latest Rothstein Updates blog of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.

Scott Rothstein, who is now 47, gave up his license to practice after news of his reported $1.2 billion scam broke last year. He pleaded guilty in January to a five-count racketeering, money laundering and fraud case and could face as much as 100 years in federal prison when he is sentenced in May.

Sources say additional partners and/or employees of the dissolving South Florida firm may also be charged in the case soon, the Miami Herald reports.
