Warned by a California judge during a Monday traffic court hearing not to drive, eight busted motorists presumably indicated they wouldn’t.

But when Santa Rosa police followed them out of the Sonoma County courthouse, they found that four of the eight got right behind the wheel, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

The four wound up with citations for driving without a license and must appear for another court hearing.

It is by no means the first such sting at the courthouse, according to the Press-Democrat. The newspaper reported that drivers also were ticketed by police from various agencies for getting behind the wheel without a license after leaving the courthouse in December 2011, May 2012 and May 2015.
