The Utah legislature is conducting a feasibility study for establishing the state’s third law school—at the Utah Valley University—according to KSL.com.
Currently, the University of Utah and the Brigham Young University offer the state’s only ABA-accredited law schools.
Utah State Sen. Brady Brammer, R-Pleasant Grove, sponsored the bill, citing the state’s population growth as driving the need to have more lawyers, according to the story.
In July 2025, 316 candidates took the bar exam in Utah, according to data from the National Conference of Bar Examiners.
