Milwaukee law firm Weiss Berzowski has operated for more than 50 years, but it will no longer exist on Wednesday when most of its remaining lawyers join von Briesen & Roper.

Fourteen lawyers are making the move to the new firm, report the Milwaukee Business Journal, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and Biz Times. About 15 staffers will also make the leap. A press release is here.

With the addition of the new lawyers, von Briesen will have more than 150 lawyers in nine Wisconsin offices. The law firm last added a significant number of new lawyers in June 2015, when 19 lawyers from other firms joined von Briesen, according to the Milwaukee Business Journal.

Weiss Berzowski managing partner David Roettgers is among those moving to von Briesen. He tells Biz Times that four Weiss Berzowski lawyers will retire, including founding partner Michael Berzowski. Two other lawyers will join other firms.
