A former attorney general of Ohio was in the news for two reasons today.

Now a Cleveland practitioner, Marc Dann filed suit against the Bank of America contending that it had failed to comply with contractual duties to help struggling homeowners modify their mortgages under a federal program, reports WKYC. The Cuyahoga County case seeks class action status.

And he is facing potential disciplinary action in an unrelated matter, due to his handling of his work duties when he was still in office as Ohio’s attorney general, reports the Columbus Dispatch.

The article doesn’t include any comment from Dann, but he says in a law firm newsletter that “I am currently practicing law in good standing and am working hard for my clients. I have and continue to take responsibility for my actions and I am working constructively with the disciplinary counsel to bring this matter to final resolution.”
