A Los Angeles-based company has filed a lawsuit against the Gori Law Firm, accusing it of a long-running scheme of fraud and racketeering.
J-M Manufacturing, a plastic pipe-making company, is accusing the Gori Law Firm of a multiyear racketeering conspiracy to file sham suits, pursue “baseless claims” and coach witnesses to commit perjury.
The goal, the suit alleges, has been to “extract money from J-M Manufacturing through a pattern of fraud and deception.”
The suit against the Gori Law Firm was filed Wednesday in federal court in the Southern District of Illinois.
J-M Manufacturing has been fighting to expose what it calls a “pattern of fraud” and racketeering in the asbestos litigation industry, according to a story by Legal Newsline.
