Last week, we told you that the husband of country singer Sara Evans filed a slander suit against his wife’s divorce lawyer.

A second slander suit has now been filed, this one against a lawyer for the mother of Anna Nicole Smith, according to the Associated Press. The suit, filed by Smith’s former lawyer and companion, Howard K. Stern, claims attorney John O’Quinn improperly suggested in a television interview that he was involved in Smith’s death.

Also, see our blog post about Texas Lawyer’s report today that O’Quinn settled a case – that originally resulted in a $1 billion verdict – against the makers of the diet drug Pondimin.
