The legal services industry has gained jobs for two months in a row but still has 35,700 fewer jobs than a year ago.
The legal services sector gained 7,200 jobs in February, following a gain of 500 jobs in January, according to revised and seasonally adjusted numbers released Friday by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics initially reported that the sector gained 4,800 jobs in January, but that number has been revised downward.
The industry has gained jobs most months since April 2020, when revised numbers showed the sector lost 68,000 jobs amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The industry had 1,129,600 jobs in February 2021, up from 1,122,400 jobs in January 2021 and 1,121,900 jobs in December 2020, according to the revised numbers.
